Director, Assessment Partnership
Robert Triscari joined Achieve in January 2008 as the Director of the Assessment Partnership. As the Director, Robert has responsibility for overseeing Achieve’s multi-state assessment initiative, in which over a dozen states are collaborating on the development of common end-of-course assessments.
Prior to joining Achieve, Robert was the Director of Assessment Development in the office of Student Assessment for the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) for nine years. While in Virginia, Robert directed the development of over 2,000 test forms each spring, oversaw all psychometric aspects of the program, and managed all aspects of Title I and Title III testing.
Before joining the Virginia assessment team, Robert served as the director of psychometrics for a large private testing company for six years. Prior to that he worked at the University of Texas at Austin in a Demographic Research Center and at the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in both teacher and student assessment. While at TEA he was part of the team that developed the Texas Academic Skills Program (TASP) a “rising junior” college test.
Currently, Robert is an affiliate professor at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where he teaches doctoral level courses in statistics, measurement, and evaluation. He also taught psychology courses at Austin Community College for five years.
Robert has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a master’s degree in program evaluation from the University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in psychometrics and statistics also from the University of Texas at Austin.
