Project Associate, Content and Policy Research
Jim Macdonald joined Achieve in 2004, and since 2006 he has been a project associate, supporting both the policy and content teams. In this position, Jim is responsible for supporting the Content and Policy team with a wide variety of administrative and content tasks. His role includes everything from keeping the calendar and appointments of the team, drafting memos, making plane and hotel reservations for team members to playing a critical role in the research, editing and drafting process of Achieve reports.
Before joining our staff, Jim was executive assistant and membership coordinator at the George C. Marshall Institute. At the same time, he served as an adjunct philosophy professor at Catholic University of America and Mount St. Mary's College. Jim also has taught philosophy courses at the University of Toledo while working on his graduate studies. He has had articles published in Philosophical Writings UK and the Review of Metaphysics.
Jim received a bachelor's degree in philosophy and history from Ohio Northern University and a master's degree in philosophy from the University of Toledo. He pursued a doctorate in philosophy from Catholic University of America, where he has completed everything but his dissertation.
